1. Spituk to Stok: (3 to 4Days)
For beginners it’s a short and easy trek to start with.
Day 1. Spituk to zingchen.
Day 2. Hemis national park, Rumbal
Day 3. Stok-La, Mankarmo
Day 4. Stok, Return to Leh.
Spituk is 7km drive away from main Leh market. Zinchen would be the first stop. It would take around 4 hours to arrive Zinchen. The Zinchen valley is greener than spituk and the first halt would be near Rumbak river. The next halt would be Rumbak village. Hemis National Park would come in the way to Rumbak village. Next stop would be Mankarmo after Stok-La which would take around 5 hours. On the last day you will arrive Stok from where you can return to Leh

2. Markha Valley: (7 to 9 Days)

A medium level Trekking which would be little challenging.
Day 1. Spituk to Zingchen
Day 2. Yurutse
Day 3. Gandala Pass, Skyuu
Day 4. Markha Valley
Day 5. Thachungtse
Day 6. Niamling
Day 7. Kongmaru
Day 8. Shang sumdo, Thicksey.
The trek starts from Spituk and the first halt would be Zinchen. The next stop would be Yurutse. The next day you have to ascend towards gandla pass and then descend towards Skyuu. The whole day of trekking would take around 6 hours. On the Day 4 you will be trekking by the side of Markha River and your stop would be Markha Valley.
Next day you will again be seeing the river and arrive to your next halt which would be Thachungtse. On day 6 you will be trekking up-hill and continue for around 4 hours. Then it would be the time you arrive the highest camp of the trekking which is Niamling. From here you can get spectacular views of the Zanskar range. The next stop would be Kongmaru La pass and then Shang Sumdo. On the last day of trekking you would arrive Thicksey. Don’t miss the famous Hemis and thicksey monastery. After that you would be returning to Leh.

3. Chadar Trek: (7 to 18 days)

A walk on the frozen river of Zanskar valley.
The beginning of chadar trek was; when Locals of Ladakh region started to travel through the frozen river of Zanskar Valley by walking on it; as the road gets blocked by the blanket of heavy snowfall.
The extreme weather condition makes this trekking very challenging and it’s one of the toughest trekking in India. Sometimes the temperature drops to lower than Minus 30 degrees. As, it’s tricky for the beginners to walk on ice, your trek-guide will guide you to walk on different types of surfaces.

4. Padum to Darcha: (9 to 12 days).
Padum was the capital of Zanskar kingdom. Trekking through this route cover some popular areas like Zanskar Valley, Tokpa, Ramjhak, Chalhang, Lhakong, Shingola-Pass Darcha etc.
5. Lamayuru to Stok: 11 to 13 days.
Lamayuru is famous for its monastery, it’s 120 km far from Leh. After visiting Lamayuru’s ancient monastery, you would be starting your trekking from there. Some of the beautiful places it covers while trekking are: Hinju, Wanlha, Konzhke-La, Dundunchen-la, Gandala etc. The Karakuram range would be visible during this trekking, when you arrive at Stok Kanghri.

6. Kang-Yatse: 13 to 14 days.
Kang Yatse trek is an extension to Markha Valley trek. From Niamling you will trek to Kang Yatse base camp. The next stop would be the high camp of Kang-Yatse. Next day, you will return to Niamling after having a view of Tibet and Zangskar Valley. The next halt would be Shang sumdo after passing KongmaruLa pass. The last day would be to return leh afer heading to Martse-lhang.
7. Lamayuru to Darcha: 16 to 20 days.
Lamayuru to Darcha is one of the most recommended trek in India. Although it’s challenging but it’s worth trying. On this route you will notice a lot of villages with beautiful monasteries. Some of the famous monasteries that comes during this trek are: Phutkal, Lamayuru and Lhingset.
